Information on self-referrals

APSI is a free service. You must be over 18 and resident in County Roscommon. You do not require a medical card.

You can self-refer by calling 090 666 5020 or be referred by your GP or another healthcare professional (e.g. GP, Nurse or Social Worker)

Please note: If you are currently with a secondary care service (e.g. a mental health service or Tusla) then we will need a referral from them for you. Similarly if you have been with a specialist service in the last 6months we will need a referral from your GP (see the section on Information for Referrers).

What happens at my first appointment?

At your first appointment with APSI you will meet a member of the team who will conduct an assessment.
This involves talking to you about the difficulties that you are experiencing and how they are affecting your life.
The outcome of the assessment will help determine the most appropriate treatment for you.
